Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 To Support eSIM and Dual SIM, Dual Standby (DSDS) In Canada
Recently in Canada, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 received an OTA update that enables the device’s long-awaited built-in eSIM, dual sim, and dual standby DSDS functionality.
The update was of size 1107.35 MB and was released for Galaxy Z Fold 3, which comes with firmware build no. F926WVLU1DVEE.

According to the Changelog and user-posted screenshots on the community, this OTA rollout also brings several camera feature improvements as we have seen in other regions for the clamshell-designed fold smartphones. This update will also include the June 2022 security patch.

Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) support
eSIM- Users either need to have a carrier’s app or a QR Code to use this function. The “eSIM” is an embedded SIM card with no physical SIM cards no physical swapping is required.eSIM is available from selected carriers around the world. For the US, AT&T, T-Mobile USA, and Verizon Wireless support eSIM functionality.
Dual-SIM- This means users can install two separate SIM cards into their phones.
Dual-SIM Dual Standby-This enables the user to choose which of those two SIMs can place and receive calls while another one is on standby.
Camera: The quality of pictures taken with social or camera apps downloaded from the application store has improved.
Security & Privacy:
The security of the device has been improved.
Other than this, according to the Changelog, the Overall stability of the device has been improved with this patch. It also includes security and privacy issues that are not limited to. It can also include general bug fixes, device stability improvements, and overall system stability.
