Recently, Samsung released a July update for the Galaxy Note 20 series. The update was received as an OTA in the USA for both devices for unlocked versions. It can be identified with firmware identifier no. N98U1UES2FVED/N986.

The update informed that the overall stability of functions had been improved along with the security of the device, primarily.

This monthly revision brings the latest security patch level: 1 July 2022, with Google’s and Samsung’s security and privacy issues, fixed.

The update has visited the USA and will soon expand to other regions. This time it’s just a security update that improves the overall stability of the device. The update is for security and privacy issues fix but is not limited to it. It can also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements, with more enhanced features and further improvements to performances.

It is expected that this July 2022 security patch will fix dozens of vulnerabilities related to user privacy and data security.
