Galaxy S22 Series July 2022 Firmware: South Korea
Today, Samsung has released another June update for the Galaxy S22 series. The update was received as an OTA in native S.Korea for a Galaxy S22 Ultra.
It brought a moderate download size of 528.13 MB MB with the firmware identifier no. S908EXXU2AVF9.
The user dubbed it as Galaxy S22 Ultra self-contained software update, a user-initiated download.
Wallpapers-Purple color has been added to ‘My Wallpaper.’
- Stabilization code related to terminal behavior has been applied. Google security patch Security-related stabilization code has been applied.
- Also, The update informed that the overall stability of functions had been improved along with the security of the device.
This monthly revision brings Security patch level: 1 July 2022 with Google’s and Samsung’s security and privacy issues fixes.
The series has three models, namely :
- Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908E)
- Galaxy S22+ (SM-S906E)
- Galaxy S22 (SM-S901E)
The update has visited S.Korea and is expected to reach other regions soon.
Samsung informed that the following apps might have been updated to the latest version after the software update :
• Galaxy Wearable• Samsung Global Goals• Samsung Internet • Samsung Health• SmartThings•Samsung Members Samsung Pay• Samsung TV Plus•A calculator• Smart Switch • VoiceRecording.
Other than this, this time, it’s just a security update that improves the overall stability of the device.
According to the changelog & user-posted screenshot on the Samsung Community’ r1′, the update is for security and privacy issues fix but is not limited to it; it can also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements, with more enhanced features and further enhancements to performances.
It is expected that this July 2022 security patch will fix dozens of vulnerabilities related to user privacy and data security.
This is the latest flagship from Samsung and will enjoy the latest OS & UI upgrade in upcoming years according to Samsung’s 4-year Software Support Policy.
Samsung advises keeping your device up to date and regularly checking for software updates.
Users can also check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install or turning auto-updates or notifications on in the settings of your device.
