New Features Added In Galaxy S22’s Latest Firmware With August 2022 Security Patch

Samsung anticipates everyone and updates its latest flagships with the unprecedented security patches of August 2022: new firmware is in fact in distribution for Samsung Galaxy S22Samsung Galaxy S22+ and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Let’s find out what’s new.

After reaching major sales milestones and launching a new colorway, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is gearing up to welcome the August 2022 security patches, even before Google release. The update is also being distributed in S. Korea through the firmware S90*NKSU2AVG6, and adds new features.

Based on the manufacturer’s changelog, Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra – apply stabilization code related to terminal behavior and Google security patch Security-related has been applied.

The series has three models namely:

  • Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908N) – S908NKSU2AVG6
  • Galaxy S22+ (SM-S906N) – S906NKSU2AVG6
  • Galaxy S22 (SM-S901N) – S901NKSU2AVG6

With the new firmware currently rolling out, some of the Samsung apps, such as Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, SmartThings and Samsung Members, will also be updated. We will have to wait a few more days for details on security improvements, as Samsung usually talks about it earlier this month.

The update has visited Korea and is expected to reach other regions soon. This time it’s just a security update that improvements in overall feature stability, as well as the usual performance refinements and elimination of some unspecified bugs.

Users can also check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install or turning auto-updates or notifications on in the settings of your device.
