One UI: How To Disable RAM Plus (Virtual RAM) Feature In Samsung Galaxy Smartphones

Samsung’s virtual RAM (RAM Plus) expation feature, which allows you to increase the amount of random access memory available on your phone using a portion of the internal memory as virtual memory.

In 2021, RAM Plus made its debut on the Galaxy A52s 5G, but it had no user options at the time. In essence, the function set aside 4GB of storage to be used as virtual RAM by default. Despite the fact that consumers previously had no control over how much storage they could turn into virtual RAM, Samsung later released One UI 4.1 and updated RAM Plus to allow users this choice.

Now, with the One UI 4.1, Samsung has made a nice improvement. The guys at SamMobile found the ability to extend the RAM Plus limit, with the choice of using 2, 4, 6, and even 8GB 

Users of Samsung’s Galaxy devices should soon have the option to turn off RAM Plus. The original One UI 5.0 beta firmware made mention of this innovation, but it was inactive.

• On your Galaxy device
• Go to Settings app
• Tap on Battery and device care 
• Now go into Memory
• Tap on RAM Plus
• And turn off the toggle to disable virtual memory feature. 
• Tap on Restart now.
