Samsung anticipates everyone and updates its latest flagships with the unprecedented security patches of September 2022: new firmware is, in fact, in distribution for Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+, and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Let’s find out what’s new?

After the Galaxy S21, Note 20, S20 FE and A52s, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series is gearing up to welcome the September 2022 security patches. The update is also being distributed in European region starts with Germany through the firmware build S90*BXXU2AVI3. And will soon expand in other regions as well.
The series has three models namely:
- Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908B) – S908BXXU2AVI3
- Galaxy S22+ (SM-S906B) – S906BXXU2AVI3
- Galaxy S22 (SM-S901B) – S901BXXU2AVI3
With the new firmware currently rolling out, some of the Samsung apps, such as Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Health, SmartThings and Samsung Members, wallet and others will also be updated.
According to documentation compiled by Samsung, the latest security patches include fixes for as many as 24 vulnerabilities; none of these are labeled as critical, 21 have high priority, and three moderate.

Various issues were addressed to Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) driver issues, memory access errors in various functions, improper access control, and the possibility of permanent denial of service, SystemUI privileges issues, Photo Editor issues, and a bug that allowed an attacker to initiate emergency calls remotely.
You can proceed to download and install the update on their mobile phones. They just need to access the device settings, and within the “Software Update” section, check if there is a new version ready to be downloaded and installed.
