Samsung has already provided the latest September 2022 security patch firmware for the Galaxy S21 and S21 FE models. But the update was limited to international variants. Now the US popular carriers are rolling out the update for both devices.

Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra have started receiving the September 2022 security update on the T-Mobile carrier-locked model. The firmware builds G991USQSSCVHC, G996USQSSCVHC, and G998USQSSCVHC, respectively. However, the update has provided by Verizon a few days back.
Now talking about the Galaxy S21 FE, the September 2022 security patch can install on Verizon carrier-locked variant in the United States with G990USQS4CVI1.
The September 2022 security patch also fix more than 20 vulnerabilities regarding MTP drivers, the privileges of SystemUI, Photo Editor, and a bug that could have allowed an attacker to initiate emergency calls remotely and beyond. Among the different vulnerabilities cited by the manufacturer, none are marked as critical.
How To Update
The update for Samsung Galaxy devices are already on distribution via OTA starting with non-branded models (it could take a few more hours or days to wait for branded ones). All you need to do is install the update is go to the system settings through the ‘Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install’ path and follow the directions. If it fails, you can try again after a few hours.
