Samsung Galaxy Devices That Will Have 4 Years Of Major Android Updates
Since April 2020, the South Korean giant Samsung committed to its users to update the most emblematic Galaxy phones for at least 3 years.
This was a significant commitment that no other manufacturer wanted to match, at least to date and/or officially, as it meant that the majority of Samsung’s smartphones and tablets could receive up to three major Android updates in addition to the security patches that are distributed monthly, quarterly, or semi-annually, depending on the age of the device.
In February 2022, Samsung expanded on this promise by offering significant upgrades for up to 4 years and security patches for up to 5 years for many of its most iconic terminals.
“At least officially, no other manufacturer in the Android catalog has wanted to commit like Samsung to update its phones for 4 years with major operating system updates, in addition to offering security patches for at least 5 years since its launch.”
