released the latest Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S22 in the United States. However, the company started distributing its smartphones’ October 2022 security patches before Google.

Recently Samsung released the October 2022 security patch for the unlocked Galaxy S22 series. Now, the South Korean giant is also providing the update for carrier-locked Galaxy S21 series units of Verizon in the US.

Verizon is rolling out the October 2022 Android Security patch for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. And One UI firmware version is G991USQS5CVI8, G996USQS5CVI8, and G998USQS5CVI8, respectively.

The October 2022 security update provides the most up-to-date Android security patches on your device and resolves an intermittent issue where the device didn’t receive text messages.

Users can also check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install or turning auto-updates or notifications on in your device’s settings.
