Verizon Galaxy Z Flip 4 & Tab S7 FE 5G Gets September 2022 Security Firmware In The US

Recently, Verizon released an update for its Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G consisting of Android Security Patch Level: September 2022 with Software Version/firmware build number. F721USQU1AVIA and G781VSQU6FVH2 respectively.

Verizon named this update ‘System Update 1’ for the Flip 4 and ‘Software Update 8’ for Tab S7 FE & informed that this software update provides performance improvements and the latest Android security patches for your device.

The update is for security and privacy issues fix but is not limited to it, and it can also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements. This update brings security level issues resolved by Google and UI-related fixes by Samsung. 

Along with September 2022 security patch, the software update has been tested to optimize device performance, resolve known issues and apply the latest September security patches and also fixes more than 24 vulnerabilities

: MTP driver issues have been fixed, memory access errors in various functions, improper access control, SystemUI privilege issues, and issues in Photo Editor, a bug that could have allowed an attacker to initiate emergency calls remotely and beyond. This time, none is marked as critical among the several vulnerabilities cited by Samsung.

Users can check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install or turning auto-updates or notifications on in the settings of your device.
