Samsung has already taken off with regard to the release of the new monthly security updates. However, the distribution has already started in the United States.

Now, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has started updating in the US, with the G990U1UEU4CVI5 firmware version. The version number suggests there should be more than the September 2022 security patches, however the official changelog is sparse and does not provide details about it.

According to the information, the September 2022 security update for Unlocked Galaxy S21 FE is rolling out on all carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.

The latest September 2022 update fixes more than 24 vulnerabilities: MTP driver issues have been fixed, memory access errors in various functions, improper access control, SystemUI privilege issues, and issues in Photo Editor, a bug that could have allowed an attacker to initiate emergency calls remotely and beyond. This time, none is marked as critical among the several vulnerabilities cited by Samsung.

To manually check the availability of the described updates on your devices, you can follow the path indicated: ‘Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install’.
