Samsung Serves September 2022 Security Patch To Carrier-Locked Galaxy Z Flip 4 In The US

After the Internation variant, Samsung has started rolling out the September security patch to its Galaxy Z Flip 4 device in the United States. The Verizon carrier-locked version of the phone already received the update a couple of days ago.

The September 2022 security patch for Carrier-Locked Galaxy Z Flip 4 might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements. The update is rolling out on all carrier-locked networks, including T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, and Xfinity Mobile.

The latest September security patches and also fixes more than 24 vulnerabilities: MTP driver issues have been fixed, memory access errors in various functions, improper access control, SystemUI privilege issues, and issues in Photo Editor, a bug that could have allowed an attacker to initiate emergency calls remotely and beyond. This time, none is marked as critical among the several vulnerabilities cited by Samsung.

The latest firmware for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes with firmware version F721USQU1AVIA.

You can check for updates through the following function:

  1. Go to Settings (by clicking on the gear icon that appears at the bottom right after lowering the notification dropper twice)
  2. Select Software Update
  3. Click Download and Install

Make sure you are connected to a Wi-Fi network or have enough data available if you use your cellular connection.
