Samsung Will Start Pre-Orders Of 990 PRO Series SSD From November 1st In The US

Samsung Electronics US has made an announcement related to its 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 SSD Series. The company will make available its pre-orders on November 1st, 2022. It is power efficient, has thermal control, and provides outstanding performance too. As the SSD has Heatsink properties, it will be more convenient to console gamers.

This drive supports productivity tasks such as 3D rendering, 4k video editing, data analysis, and heavy gaming easily. It has read and writes speeds, respectively, 7,450 MB per second (Around 7.5 GB) and 6,900 MB per second (Around 6.9 GB), which helps to get a smooth and fast gaming experience.

For the information, it is also optimized for Microsoft’s DirectStorage API software technology. It has the world’s first 8nm controller that improves its power efficiency by up to 50% and increases the system’s battery life as well. The device users need not worry about heating issues as it has an additional thermal control layer.

The 990 PRO comes with 5-years of warranty. It is available in 4 categories: 1TB with a heatsink, 1TB without a heatsink, 2TB with a heatsink, and 2TB without a heatsink. A 4TB version of this 990 PRO Series will be available in the year of 2023.

For pre-orders, beginning on November 1st, 2022, one has to spend $169.99 for 990 PRO 1TB, $289.99 for 990 PRO 2TB, $189.99 for 990 PRO with Heatsink 1TB, and $309.99 for 990 PRO with Heatsink 2TB. After ordering, it will be shipped in the fall of November.
