Samsung One UI November 2022 Security Patch Fixes 36 Vulnerabilities

Samsung is well-known that monthly patches are delivered on time, frequently even before the reference month. In recent years, the South Korean giant has been actively updating the software on its market-available smartphones, particularly in security.

According to official documentation compiled by Samsung, the latest November 2022 security patches include fixes for as many as 36 vulnerabilities; 3 are labeled as critical, 32 have high priority, and 1 moderate.

However, the company has already started sending the Android November 2022 security patches and started with its foldable series. The update is currently available for a limited market for Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Fold 4 users. It will soon expand to other regions as well.

Along with Google patches, Samsung Mobile provides 26 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) to improve our customer’s confidence in the security of Samsung Mobile devices.

Samsung security index (SSI), found in “Security software version,” SMR Nov-2022 Release 1, includes all patches from Samsung and Google. Some of the SVE items may not be included in this package in case these items were already included in a previous maintenance release.

The Android November 2022 security patches are being deployed to all Samsung models supported by the monthly update program. The timing can vary as much depending on the smartphone model as the geographical location.
