Samsung released the software update for the Galaxy Watch 4 last month. Users were excited and hoped that it would introduce features and fix existing issues. Still, unfortunately, after installing the R8xxXXU1GVI3 firmware update in Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, many users have reported the Wear OS watch would become unusable if it was powered off after the update.

According to SamMobile the issue does not affect every person, but it does affect a large number of people, so Samsung has now stopped the rollout in various regions like UAE, Netherlands, and more, but the company does not confirm any date to roll out a new update which fixes the issue.

Keep your smartwatch charged until Samsung releases a fix, and don’t shut it down or reboot it until it has the update. Otherwise, it might get bricked, and you might not be able to turn it on again. Make sure you don’t update the watch until this new update is released if you haven’t already.

Moreover, for now, we can wait and watch when Samsung releases the next update so users whose watches are on can install the update, and likely the problem will be fixed, and for those users who can’t turn on their watches, we suggest you take the watch to nearest Samsung service center after the new release.
