Samsung is currently working on its upcoming flagship device series Galaxy S23, which is rumored to be the first Galaxy device with Satellite Connectivity support. In order to make this possible, the South Korean giant is working with a global satellite communication company Iridium Communications. Apart from this, it is also expected that it may feature Qualcomm’s next-generation fingerprint scanner too, which is expected to be the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max scanner.

The Galaxy S23 series may get Satellite Connectivity with it

Let you know this feature will let the users send text and lower-resolution images at hundreds of Kbps. The other features, such as voice calling and high-speed data transfer, will not get the support of it because of the nature of satellite communication technology. To perform these actions, the antenna (RF) needs to be large, which might be complicated for the manufacturers to fit on general smartphones.

The satellite communication company “Iridium Satellites,” with whom Samsung is working, provides voice calling and data communication service through a total of 66 satellites. Besides, Samsung is not the only manufacturer that is going to get this feature in their device. Huawai and Apple already have it on theirs. Where Apple is working with Global Star for this, Huwai (the first one who introduced this feature) is providing it with Beidou satellites.

Currently, the feature is available in Huawai’s Mate 50 Pro series devices and Apple’s iPhone 14 devices. At present, Apple is providing this feature in the US and Canada regions only, while Galaxy S23 is expected to be the next member of this chain. With its help, the user will be able to share his location via satellite when you don’t have cellular and Wi-Fi coverage on their phone. The Korean media firm ET news publishes this report

Qualcomm’s next-gen fingerprint reader will be it’s another achievement

According to some reports, the South Korean tech firm is expected to feature Qualcomm’s next-generation fingerprint reader in its upcoming flagship Galaxy S23. The under-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader was first introduced with the Galaxy S10 device. Unfortunately, its performance wasn’t very reliable at that time. Now the company is working to provide a better and more reliable fingerprint reader to its device that will bring better accuracy with it.

As per the rumors, the Galaxy S23 series will get the third-generation ultrasonic fingerprint reader from Qualcomm. The scanner is expected to be Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Max scanner, which is the world’s biggest and most advanced fingerprint reader at present. It is already featured in the iQOO 9 Pro and Vivo X80 Pro devices. It will be more accurate than the 3D Sonic Gen-2 sensor, which was previously used in the Galaxy S21 series devices.

The scanner may occupy a surface area of 20mm x 30mm, which is nearly 10 times in size as compared to its predecessor. It also supports one-tap fingerprint registration, which will save the time of the longer-registration process. However, the truth of these rumors will be confirmed by the launch of this device. Till then, keep checking the website to get frequent rumors and information about this device.
