November 2022 security update is now available for Galaxy A42 and M42

Samsung Galaxy M42 and Galaxy A42 are identical twins in terms of the price range they are available in the market. These phones are mid-range phones that provide top-notch specifications according to their segment. With these similarities, Samsung is also giving them new November 2022 security patch updates.

November 2022 security update is now available in Asian countries, while other countries are expected to get the update soon. To identify the latest update, you can verify it by the firmware version as follows.  

• Galaxy A42 – A426BXXS4DVK5
• Galaxy M42 – M426BXXU3BVK2

The latest security patch contains several bug fixes that enhance the device’s performance and stability. As the name suggests, it also includes some patches from Google and Samsung that fix security vulnerabilities.

Moreover, both devices are listed in the Quarterly security update category in Samsung’s official documentation, as the devices already got three security updates previously and are now receiving the final update for this year. However, the devices will get more security updates in the future.
