Samsung has now released the November 2022 security update for its previous year’s flagship device, while the device already received the support of stable Android 13 around three weeks ago. Compared to other Galaxy devices, the Korean giant is providing the same update very late.

The November 2022 security update is currently available in the US; notably, the update was recently released by Verizon for Galaxy S21 devices (carrier locked). However, it is expected that the update will be available on other networks.

Users who own the Galaxy S21 series devices, including Galaxy S21 general, Galaxy S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra, can identify the update by the firmware version number G991USQS5DVK7, G996USQS5DVK7, and G998USQS5DVK7 respectively.
