The South Korean tech manufacturer Samsung has brought another great and different initiative this time. The company is inviting startups to collaborate with to be working on various technologies of the government’s Digital India stack. This step has been taken to speed up the company’s digital journey in India. As part of this initiative, the selected startups will get a chance to be a partner of Samsung’s R&D centers and business units of India in disciplines such as wallet, health, and fitness.

The company has stated, “Samsung’s R&D centers and business units in India will work closely with startups to co-build solutions for a specific product or service that has the potential to be integrated with Samsung’s product ecosystem.” Let us tell you; they are showing interest in startups to collaborate on technologies such as the UPI, DigiLocker, Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), Open Credit Enablement Network (OCEN), and Unified Health Interface (UHI).

Another good news is to help these startups to scale up with their solutions; they are offering funding support to some of them. They will also provide a handful of its engineers to the startups, who work in fields like AI, machine learning, big data, metaverse, and IoT, for technical mentorship and guidance. In this order, they hosted a Startup Collab event in Bengaluru earlier this week in which nearly 25 startups from the whole country interacted with the company’s leadership.

Apart from this, Dipesh Shah, the Managing Director at Samsung’s R&D Institute Bengaluru, said, “The Government’s Digital India stack is revolutionary and has the potential to transform the way many sectors work. We wish to collaborate with startups who have cutting-edge technologies in this space, which, when integrated with the Samsung ecosystem, can transform the lives of people, our consumers.” This clearly shows that the Digital Indian stock of the government and this new initiative of Samsung together will be proven beneficial for the country.
