Whenever it comes to a custom user interface, the One UI, developed by Samsung, is undoubtedly an unbeatable option. The One UI currently has a total of 5 generations, of which the One UI 5.0, based on Android version 13, is the most recent. Samsung started distributing the One UI 5.0 updates a few months ago, which now reached nearly all eligible Galaxy devices. Even now, the company has started working on One UI 5.1, an updated version of it. Notably, it will officially be introduced with the upcoming Galaxy S23 series.

One UI 5.1 is coming for older flagships

A few weeks ago, the Galaxy S23 series was spotted on a benchmarking website with One UI 5.1, which revealed that Samsung has already started its development. The testing was undergoing till now, but finally, they finished up the development for the upcoming flagship Galaxy S23, as recent reports suggested. It is also expected that the company is now moving on to the Galaxy S22 and S21 series for beta development. However, some reports denied it by saying that there is no beta expected for internal testing.

For those who are unaware, the company will launch the Galaxy S23 series by the rise of 2023. As per some recent reports, the Unpacked Event for this upcoming flagship series will be held on February 1st, 2022. It is obvious the One UI 5.1 will also be introduced on the same day with the Galaxy S23 series out of the box. Notably, as One UI 5.1 is an updated version, it will surely get more features than its predecessor One UI 5.0. As the One UI 5 contains customization properties, the One UI 5.1 will also get the same with even more enhancement.

As we all know, after the official release of the upcoming flagship, the company will also start to roll out the One UI 5.1 on other eligible Galaxy devices. Because Samsung usually provides all major to minor updates in its high-end devices first, this update will also be rolled out to other flagship devices before reaching the other premium or mid-range devices. Hence, Samsung has started the development of One UI 5.1 for the other flagships, such as Galaxy S22 and S21 as well, to catch up with the pace of its current update distribution.
