Carrier-locked Galaxy Z Flip gets December 2022 update in the US

Being consistently rolled out in December 2022 from the starting week of the month, but Samsung still hasn’t covered all of the foldable devices, and one of those devices is Galaxy Z Flip. However, the device is now getting the latest security update in the US.

As of now, the carrier-locked Galaxy Z Flip LTE variant is receiving the December 2022 security update in the US. Notably, the update is now available on Spirit’s network; it comes with the firmware version number F700USQS5HVL2. With the start of the December 2022 security update rollout, we expect the update to be available in other parts of the world soon.

According to Samsung’s official documentation, the December 2022 security patch update includes 93 security-related fixes which Google and Samsung include; from those 80 patches have been added by Google that target the Android OS, and the other 13 patches packed by Samsung resolve the security vulnerability issues of the Galaxy devices.

Galaxy Z Flip LTE was launched in 2020, and it was the first generation device of the Galaxy Flip series; it comes with Android 10 pre-installed; recently, the device received the Android 13 in the US for both of the variants, including carrier locked and unlocked.
