US Unlocked Galaxy Z Flip and Flip 5G updated to December 2022 patch

Earlier today, the Carrier locked variant of Galaxy Z Flip received the December 2022 security patch update on the spirit network in the US. Now Samsung is serving the latest security update to the Carrier- unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G.

According to the information, the carrier-unlocked variant of Galaxy Z Flip is grabbing the latest update on AT&T, Cricket, Verizon, and Xfinity mobile networks. While the Galaxy Z Flip 5G is receiving the same update on different networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass, Cellular, Cricket, Nextech/C-Spire, and Xfinity Mobile networks.

The December 2022 security update carries new firmware version numbers F700U1UES5HVL2 and F707U1UES3GVL1 for Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 5G, respectively. They are listed in the monthly security update category, which means the device is eligible for one security update per month.

According to Samsung’s official documentation, the latest security update includes 93 patches which are added by Samsung and Google both. 80 patches of them were included by Google, which fixes the problems related to the Android OS, and the other 13 patches were added by Samsung to improve the overall security of its Galaxy devices.

Moreover, the December 2022 security update doesn’t bring any features. It is a regular monthly update which is provided by Samsung for its Galaxy devices; you should download the latest update to enhance the security of the device.
