Unlocked Galaxy A01 gets Android 12 in the US

Nowadays, Samsung is rolling out its latest custom skin update over Google’s operating system Android 13, for Galaxy devices. But some entry-level devices need to catch up in getting the new updates and receiving one-year-old firmware. For example, now the Galaxy A01 device is grabbing Android 12.

According to the information, the unlocked variant of the Galaxy A01 is now receiving the One UI core 4.1 based on Android 12. The update carries a firmware version number A015U1UEU5CVL2. It also includes the four-month older security patch as of September 2022.

For some entry-level devices, Samsung has optimized its One UI and released its core version for them. The Galaxy A01 is also one of them and receives the core version of One UI 4.1. The core version has a lot of similarities to the original OneUI, only some features that are restricted because of hardware limitations.

Android 12 and One UI Core 4.1 for the Galaxy A01

Being the cheapest device among the Galaxy smartphones, the Galaxy A01 device receives Android 12 with the One UI 4.1. As per the changelog, the update improves several inbuilt apps of the device, including the Samsung keyboard, Camera, Calendar, Settings, and more. Samsung also introduces several new features to make the device more interesting, but users can experience these. So you should update your device to Android 12.

The Galaxy A01 was launched in 2019 and came with Android 10; the device recently received its second major update in the form of Android 12. Being an entry-level device, it has completed its quota of new updates; now, it’s no longer to receive any other updates except security updates.
