Carrier-locked Galaxy Note 10 gets new software update in the US

The Galaxy Note 10 was launched back in 2019, and it comes with Android 9 out of the box. Samsung has promised to give at least three major updates to the devices, and following it, the company has rolled out a new major update yearly. Currently, the device is running on Android 12, which is the last update; now, the device is only eligible for minor updates, which are coming as security patches. Like now, it is receiving a new security patch in the form of a February 2023 update.

The carrier-locked variant of Galaxy Note 10 is now receiving the February 2023 security patch. Currently, the update is rolling out on several networks, including T-Mobile, Sprint, Xfinity Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, and MetroPCS. It is expected that the update will be available on other networks in the next few days.

Users who own Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ can identify the latest update by the version numbers N970USQU7HWB2 and N975USQU7HWB2, respectively. Being a four-year-old device, this may be the last year in which the device is eligible to get new security updates.

The February 2023 update brings new fixes which enhance the security of your device. According to official documentation from Samsung, the latest update includes over 50 patches that resolve security-related problems. From those, 48 patches were included by Google that target the security vulnerabilities present in the Android OS. The other server patches were included by Samsung, which fixes the issues which are present in the Galaxy devices.
