Samsung, the Seoule firm, launched the One UI 5.1 update back in February 2023, which is based on Android 13. At present, the company is working on the future One UI 6, which will be based on the upcoming Android 14. Undoubtedly, the new UI update will bring some changes and modifications with it to the device. Recently, we got to know that the Galaxy device’s volume slider will get some changes, so let’s take a look at the changes.

One UI 6 and Android 14 could change volume slider

Firstly, let us tell you that a vertical volume slider was launched with Android 9 (Pie) back in the year 2018. If you don’t know, the slider appears in response to the press of the volume button. Now, it might not be a major detail, but the slider will get some changes with the next OS+UI update. As per the information, the new volume slider of Android 14+One UI 6 will be proportional to the device’s length.

Previously, the size of this vertical volume slider was the same for all the devices, no matter how long or short they were, which makes it look so small on devices with larger screens. Now, as the slider’s size will be proportional to the device’s length, it won’t look odd, tiny, or too big on any device. Notably, it is just a small thing, but the upcoming Android 14 and One UI 6 will have many more than that up their sleeves.

Let us tell you we have found this information in Android 13 QPR Beta 1, but it isn’t said to come with the recent update; instead, Google has decided to launch it with the next Android version, which is Android 14.
