Samsung is rolling out the same security update for the Galaxy S20 series device, which was initially available for Galaxy S23. Does it mean it will also contain the improvements? Well, unfortunately not, but the update will give your device a security boost for sure.

The latest update for Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra brings the April security patch, which will be available in different firmware version numbers G98**XXSGHWCF (here, the * symbols represent different models of Galaxy S20).

The April 2023 update is rolling out for the Galaxy S20 devices, which are present in several countries, including Brazil, Bolivia, Tr inidad and Tobago, and Guatemala.

The new update is a standard security update

Just like other security updates, this update will also treat your device in the same way; April 2023 will only strengthen your device security by resolving the known bug fixes that can be dangerous for security. It includes different patches that were included by Google and Samsung. This time Samsung has fixed the issues that are coming in the Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy S20 was launched back in 2020 as the latest flagship device by Samsung. Samsung has promised to give up to three updates to the device, and as per the information, the device has already received full major updates. The last major update was the One UI 5.1 skin update, which was based on Android 13.
