Samsung updates Galaxy A23 5G in the USA

The Galaxy A23 was introduced back in 2022, Samsung debuted the device in the market with Android 12 preinstalled, but with the latest developments, it has received a new major update in the form of Android 13; on the base of this Android, the company has introduced two skin upgrades as One UI 5 and One UI 5.1 sequentially.

Now the device is receiving the April 2023 security update in the US. Currently, the update is rolling out on two carriers, including T-Mobile and MetroPCS. The update comes with the firmware version number A236USQS2CWD8. The update is rolling out for the Unlocked variants of Galaxy A23 as well. It can be identified by the firmware version A236U1UES2CWD1.

The Carrier unlocked variant of Galaxy A23 is getting the update on several networks, including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Verizon, Xfinity Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, AT&T, US Cellular, Cricket Wireless, Cellular South US, Bluegrass Cellular.

Samsung expanding One UI 5.1 firmware for Galaxy A23 in several countries

The latest update includes the April 2023 security update, which does not bring any new features, but it comes with some security enhancements in the form of several patches; the update aims to resolve the issue which was present in the device previously.

 For information, the update includes two types of patches which are included by Google, which target the vulnerabilities present in the Android OS, and Samsung has also included some patches that add some extra patches that are exclusively available for Galaxy devices.
