Samsung is constantly rolling out May 2023 security updates to new devices. It is worth appreciating that within the early stage of serving updates, the company has almost all of the flagship devices; however, it is limited to some countries, but as the Korean giant is continuously expanding it, and expected to reach every eligible smartphone in a few days.

The latest update is now available on three Galaxy devices, including Galaxy S20, Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. As far as the update is concerned, it is the usual monthly security update.

According to the official documentation from Samsung, the latest security update includes a bunch of fixes that ultimately target the loopholes which come with previous updates and bring more security to your device.

 The Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 are getting the May 2023 security update in some Latin American countries, including Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Trinidad And Tobago. The update for Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with version number F926BXXS3EWD9. While Galaxy S20 series is getting the update for both LTE and 5G variants with these version numbers G98xFXXSGHWD4 and G98xBXXSGHWD4 sequentially.

Meanwhile, The Galaxy S22 series devices are getting the May 2023 security update in some European countries as well as in Australia. Users who own Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra in Europe can easily identify the latest security update by these firmware version numbers S901BXXS4CWD3, S906BXXS4CWD3, and S908BXXS4CWD3 sequentially. 

Further, Australian units of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra are getting the new security update with different version numbers S901EXXS4CWD4, S906EXXS4CWD4, and S908EXXS4CWD4, respectively.
