Samsung doesn’t follow any pattern to update its Galaxy devices with new security updates. With every new update, it starts with any random device, irrespective of its price range or popularity. In these, we have also observed that Samsung, most of the time, ignores Galaxy S21 series devices and brings an update to its successor and predecessor devices. The same happened this time as well, but finally, the company rolled out the latest security update for the device.

The largest update for Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with these firmware version numbers G991BXXU7EWE1, G996BXXU7EWE1, and G998BXXU7EWE1 respectively. The update includes the latest security patch in the form of May 2023.
