Samsung updates Galaxy S10 Lite to May 2023 security patch

Samsung is rapidly expanding the new security update to more Galaxy devices; now, the company has joined Galaxy S10 Lite in the May update session. As you know, the May patch is a part of the monthly security patch that doesn’t bring any new features. But being a security update, it has some improvements for the device.

The Galaxy S10 Lite is now receiving the May 2023 security update in Brazil. The update comes in the software package of 264.37MB. The firmware version number G770FXXS7HWE1 can easily identify it. 

The latest update brings May 2023 security update, which includes several patches that are not only added by Google, but Samsung has also included some extra patches that enhance the working of the Galaxy devices.

Samsung ended software support for these Galaxy smartphones

The Galaxy S10 Lite was released a year after the main series; due to this, the device is enjoying the latest Android 13 and One UI 5.1 software. The main series is only limited to Android 12 and currently receiving security updates. However, the Galaxy S10 Lite is also no longer eligible for any new major update.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Will Get Quarterly Update

According to the official documentation, Samsung has listed the Galaxy S10 Lite device in the Quarterly security update, which means it will be eligible for receiving four security updates per year; in the initial stage, the device was eligible for regular monthly but as device gest older the company has reduced the frequency of updates.
