Carrier-locked Galaxy Note 20 5G series gets May 2023 update in the US

The Galaxy Note 20 5G is the last lineup in the Note series. If we talk about the present condition of devices, these are getting only life support updates in the form of security patches. The Android updates have already been completed for the series. The last major update was Android 13 and One UI 5.1; later, it hasn’t got any significant updates.

Later, the device is continuously receiving a new security update every month. Sometimes, it has grabbed some significant features like Image Clipper, which was come with the last security update, i.e., April 2023. 

Now continuing the streak, the Galaxy Note 20 is now receiving the May 2023 security update in the US. The update doesn’t include any new features, but it comes with some security enhancements.

One UI 6.0 Eligible and Ineligible Galaxy Device List

The Carrier locked variant of Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is receiving the update with these version numbers N981USQS4HWE4 and N986USQS4HWE4, respectively. The latest update is now available on some carriers, including T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular; it is expected that the update will soon be available on other carriers.

Recently, Samsung released May 2023 security update in several Galaxy devices, including Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and many more. And will continue to expand it until every eligible device is covered.
