Samsung rolls out May 2023 security update for the Galaxy M31 in South Asian countries

Samsung has a different -midrange of smartphone devices in separate series such as Galaxy A, Galaxy M, and Galaxy F. According to the policy of the company it introduces a minimum of three years of Android updates to its midrange devices, as well as gives a maximum of 5 years of security support, so following it, the Korean giant has released the May 2023 security update to Galaxy M31 smartphone.

Currently, the update is rolling out in the Asian region in the following countries: India, Nepal, and Srilanka. It is expected that the update will soon be available for other countries. The latest update for Galaxy M31 is available with version number M315FXXS3CWD1.

The latest update brings the May 2023 security patch, which is nothing but a normal security maintenance update that comes with bug fixes for the internal function of the device. Sometimes it brings some improvements for the devices, so the system of the devices performs more smoothly.

According to the information, the Galaxy M31 is listed under biannual security updates, which means the device is eligible for only two security updates per year, earlier it has received the January 2023 security update and now getting the second update in the form of May 2023 and it could be the last update for the year.

The Galaxy M31 was introduced back in 2020. And come with Android 10. Later, it received two more updates in the form of new Android versions, bringing a midrange device limited to only two major updates, but it will get more updates in the form of the security update.
