Samsung Galaxy A02s was released back in 2020; the company has introduced the device in the affordable range. It came with Android 10, and being an entry-level smartphone, it is only eligible for the two major updates, and currently, it is running on Android 12 based One UI 4.1. The device is now no longer eligible for further major updates; however, some security updates will be available for the device in the coming days.

Currently, the company is fulfilling the security update requirement of Galaxy A02s with the April 2023 security patch in the USA, while in some countries, it has received the May 2023 security patch.

In the US, the Galaxy A02s is getting updates on both locked and unlocked variants. Users who own the unlocked variant can identify the update by the firmware version number A025U1UEU2CWD3. The locked variant is getting the same update with version number A025USQU2CWD2.
