Remaining true to its software support policy, the South Korean giant swiftly rolls out updates, addressing vulnerabilities and incorporating new security patches. This commitment extends even to the older devices, demonstrating Samsung’s dedication to ensuring their users’ security and overall experience.

Samsung rolls out June 2023 security update in Australia

Virtually a day goes by without Samsung releasing new software updates for their devices. Protagonists of today’s release are many smartphones of 2020, 2021, and 2022 that receive the latest security patches updated in June 2023, useful for the resolution of over 60 vulnerabilities found in previous software versions on smartphones of the South Korean giant.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4

Let’s start with the 2022 folds, namely Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 5G and Galaxy Z Fold4 5G. The new firmware F721BXXU3CWE6 and F936BXXU3CWE6, respectively, and, although not changing the version of Android or the One UI.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G

The South Korean manufacturer presents the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G as two of its previous smartphone offerings. These devices were introduced in 2020. It was announced back in December that these two smartphones would no longer receive subsequent Android version updates, and Android 13 would be the final major update available to them.

Nevertheless, both models continue to receive consistent support through monthly updates. As part of this ongoing support, the devices are now receiving the latest firmware versions: F916BXXU3JWE7 for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and F707BXXU9JWE3 for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G.

Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra

The Galaxy S22 series, including Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, are receiving the Android June 2023 security patch with firmware versions S901EXXU5CWEC, S906EXXU5CWEC, and S908EXXU5CWEC, respectively.

Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

The 5G version of the Samsung Galaxy A52, a 2021 smartphone, began receiving the June update through the firmware A526BXXS4EWE2.

To update your Samsung Galaxy devices, simply follow the path “Settings > Software Update” and, in the case of reporting the update, tap on “Download and Install.”
