After serving the new update to four unlocked Galaxy foldable devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3, in the US, Samsung is now expanding it to midrange devices. The update is now rolling out for the Galaxy A52 5G.

The latest update brings the August 2023 security update. As per the changelog, the update doesn’t bring any innovation, but as a normal security patch, it will enhance the overall security of the devices. The latest patch includes 85 security vulnerability fixes that strengthen the security mechanisms of the devices.

Currently, the August 2023 security update is rolled out on the US Cellular network, which means users who have Galaxy A52 5G devices bound to the network will only get the new update. To identify the latest update, verify it by this firmware version number: A526USQSAEWG9.

Users who own Galaxy A52 devices can easily install the latest update by going to the settings and then the software update menu. Once you see that an update is available for your device, just hit the download button to update it.

The Galaxy A52 was launched in 2021, and it came with Android 11 out of the box. Samsung has promised to give three Android updates to the device, which means Android 14 will be the last major update for the device. However, after that, it will continue to get some minor software support in the form of security patches.
