Android 14 QPR1 Beta 2 Arrives: What’s New

Google has already started Android 14 QPR1, even before the stable release, the first beta update was dropped a couple of weeks ago, and now, without wasting more time, the company has rolled out the second beta update for the devices. However, these updates will only be available for select compatible Pixel devices.

Devices that are eligible to get this update

These Pixel devices will get support for the new Android 14 QPR beta 2 update.

  • Pixel 5a
  • Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a
  • Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel 7a
  • Pixel Fold 
  • Pixel Tablet 

If you are thinking about the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, it is noted that these devices will not get beta updates and will get the last major update as Android 14 stable. On the other hand, Google hasn’t opened the beta program page for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro yet.

The latest Android 14 QPR 1 Beta 2 update is coming for Pixel devices with firmware version number U1B2.230922.006. The latest update also brought a new security patch in the form of October 2023, which was the same as that released for Pixel devices with the Android 14 stable update yesterday. The new update has a weight of 204MB on the Google Pixel 7 Pro.
