This year, Samsung unveiled their fifth generation of leaflets, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, which came out as the most anticipated ones. After its launch, things have started to surface regarding the next version of the foldables, which may debut in the second quarter of 2024. For its next leaflet, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung has plans to use an improved vibration motor. A theory from an article suggests that Samsung may introduce a new vibration motor for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. By bringing this enhancement, haptics can be upgraded well.

The sensation that a touch-based user interface (UI) provides is known as haptics. By communicating and reinforcing information, haptics may improve the user experience as a whole. In order to enhance interactions, they are commonly paired with audio and visual components. It is also claimed that the motor of the Z Fold 6 may not differ significantly from the models MIX Fold 3, Find N3, and Magic V2. Through this change, we can expect better feedback and performance ratios in the future.

Also, there have been rumors that the next foldable will have a slimmer hinge, a more streamlined chassis, and a different screen aspect ratio. As reported by The Elec, Samsung is disassembling the Huawei Mate X5 to gain knowledge about how to reduce the bulk of its next foldable device while increasing its battery life. Whatever the enhancements may be, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has the biggest drawback: thickness. The gadget measures a closed thickness of 13.4 mm.

Compared to the Mate X5, which is 11.1 mm, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, which is 10.9 mm, and the OnePlus Open, which is 11.7 mm thick, Samsung falls short in these criteria. Another thing to be noted is that the Mate X3 and MixFold 3 from Huawei and Xiaomi have a battery capacity of 4,800 mAh, but the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a 4,400 mAh battery. Even after sporting a thicker one, Samsung fails to bring a bigger battery. To emerge as a leader in the foldable market, Samsung should make efforts to showcase improvements over this year’s model in their new offering for the following year.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 could come with the same camera setup as Fold 5

Samsung might make the Z Fold 6 better, but it doesn’t look like they’ll improve the camera. A famous source named Ice Universe, says that the 2024 folding phone will keep the same 50MP camera as the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Fold 4.

Starting from last year, Samsung has given the Fold phones a 50MP main camera. This was a big step up from the 12MP camera in the Galaxy Z Fold 3. If the gossip is correct, the 2024 foldable will also have this main camera, which Samsung also uses in its S series top-tier phones.
