Breaking: Stable One UI 6 (Android 14) Rolling out for Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung has officially begun delivering the Android 14 update to Galaxy S23 owners, complete with all the changes from One UI 6.0. Google introduced Android 14 on its Pixel phones on October 4, and Samsung initiated beta testing for these changes in August. After more than two months of beta testing, Samsung is now rolling out the stable Android 14 release with One UI 6.0, starting with the Galaxy S23 series.

Following the announcement made on Friday night, Samsung has kicked off the release of One UI 6 based on Android 14, beginning with the Galaxy S23 lineup. This rollout has already started in Germany, Poland, the UK, and includes the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. As for the foldable Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, there’s no official confirmation regarding their update just yet.

This year, Samsung was even late to release the new One UI major update for flagships. As always, we start with the most recent Galaxy S series (Galaxy S23 in this case) after a few weeks of beta: the One UI 6 test program opened in early August and ended in these hours with the launch of the stable version.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is receiving S91*BXXU3BWJM firmware in these hours, with a required download of almost 350 MB (for beta testers). In addition to the many new features of the One UI 6 based on Android 14, the security patches of October 2023 are integrated; these are the same ones already made available with the latest update, so you will have to wait a few days for those of November.
