Samsung’s Premium Phones Will Not Receive the One UI 6 Android 14

Samsung, the South Korean electronics company, typically introduces its new Android updates with a global rollout across numerous devices. We expect a similar strategy for the upcoming One UI 6.0 software, which is based on Android 14. However, there’s a crucial point to note: some popular devices from a few years ago won’t be getting this new software update.

The stable upgrade has already started rolling out to various Galaxy devices, starting with the Galaxy S23 series in specific regions. Every smartphone user is eager to find out if their device is on the list to receive the update. However, there’s a downside: certain Galaxy smartphones may not be eligible for the upcoming One UI 6.0 upgrade. This is surprising, especially since some high-end premium Galaxy smartphones won’t be getting the One UI 6.0 update.

One UI 6.0 Bring Major Camera Features to Samsung Galaxy Devices

For models not included in this list, the duration of software support will be shorter. This means that some Samsung smartphones and tablets may not receive Android 13 or One UI 5.

One UI 6.0 won’t available for these Galaxy devices

Before proceeding, it’s important to note that these same models will continue to receive official software support in the form of security patches for a certain period (as indicated on the official website, whether it’s monthly, quarterly, or semi-annually). With that in mind, let’s proceed to the list of devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (LTE and 5G)
  • Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip (LTE and 5G)
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2
  • Samsung Galaxy A22 (LTE and 5G)
  • Samsung Galaxy A32 (LTE and 5G)
  • Samsung Galaxy A51
  • Samsung Galaxy A71
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab A8
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+.

Upon reflection, the list does not encompass the earliest smartphones or tablets. However, it does include several models that have garnered significant popularity and are likely still in the possession of many users. Therefore, these users will have to accept that they will remain on Android 13 (a feat not achieved by all competing models launched during the same timeframe).
