Samsung is gearing up to expand its true wireless earbuds series by introducing two new ones, the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is supposed to be held on July 10.

A new report has reported that the forthcoming Galaxy Buds 3 lineup could bring major changes. If the reports from Chosun Media are to be believed, Samsung is actively working to bring a major design change to the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Usually, Samsung sticks to the bean-shaped design for its buds, but now it seems that this time it could ditch the bean-shaped design for the forthcoming buds.

This redesign is expected to efficiently improve both active noise cancellation as well as overall sound quality. The call quality of the buds probably lags behind AirPods, and a possible design change is that AirPods’ stem design positions the microphones closer to the mouth, resulting in clearer and more seamless calls. To upgrade the call quality, the Korean giant is possibly considering a similar stem-like design for future Galaxy Buds; however, it is not yet confirmed whether Samsung will adopt the stem design or not.

Apart from this, the report also claims that the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will have enhanced AI features. The current-generation Galaxy Buds also have a few AI features, but to expand more of them, they need a high-end battery, and unfortunately, the present design language doesn’t permit the giant to attach a bigger battery. This is the reason why Samsung might be looking forward to a newer design for the Galaxy Buds 3 series.
