Samsung seems to be looking forward to fast-tracking its February 2025 security update rollout process for all the eligible devices, as a lot of Galaxy models have received the update so far. While the patch hit the Galaxy S24 series models in the US and now expanding to the more carriers and unlocked models.
More Galaxy S24 Users in the US Receive February 2025 Security Patch
The 2024’s flagships have started getting the February 2025 security update in the US; however, it was limited to only the Verizon network, and now the update for Galaxy S24 models is available to more carriers.
Meanwhile, the February patch for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra is recognized with the S92*USQS4AYA2 for T-Mobile and Metro PCS carriers, while the update for Dish Wireless and AT&T carriers comes with the S92*USQS4AYA1 version number.
Apart from this, the update is also available for carrier-unlocked Galaxy S24 devices, which have S92*U1UES4AYA1 build number.
Although the update doesn’t mention any major features and changes, it significantly focuses on improving the overall system security by integrating several fixes brought up from both Google and Samsung collectively for all the security vulnerabilities that aim to offer a safer and more secure experience to the users while also protecting the device against potential threats.
On the other hand, the update further helps users to have a smooth yet optimized performance and functionality by adding stability to the overall system behavior, bringing performance optimizations, and applying all the latest security patches to improve the overall experience.
