Samsung is continuing with the distribution of February 2025 security updates for all the eligible Galaxy devices from all around the world. Meanwhile, the patch is now available for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 in the US after the latest Galaxy S25 Series.
The carrier-locked and unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 units have been spotted with the February 2025 security update and are now available for the Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, USCellular, and Comcast carriers. The update can be recognized with the F946USQS5DYA5 and F731USQS5DYA5 version numbers.
On the other hand, the carrier-unlocked Galaxy 5th gen foldables carry F946U1UES5DYA7 and F731U1UES5DYA7 build numbers.
The current software patch February 2025, however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes; rather, it provides the most up-to-date Android security patches or fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that have been brought up by both Google and Samsung collectively, while also protecting the device against external potential threats that in turn help users to have a more safe and secure experience.
At the same time, the update further integrates stability for all the system behavior and adds certain performance optimizations in order to offer a stable and efficient user functionality.
Moreover, currently Samsung is dispatching the February update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 owners in the US, while the other regions will follow up shortly.
