Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 surpasses most of its rival foldable phones available in the market in terms of long-lasting battery despite featuring a smaller capacity.
Samsung debuted the Galaxy Z Fold 6 last year along with a 4,400mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging support. Although, despite having a smaller battery capacity it stands strong against its competitors with a bigger battery.
A YouTuber performed a battery test among six foldable phones from different brands, including Galaxy Z Fold 6. According to test performance, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 beats many of them featuring bigger batteries including the OnePlus Open (4,805 mAh), Pixel 9 Pro Fold (4,650 mAh), and HonorMagic V3 (5,150 mAh) as they breathe slightly less.
During the test, the YouTuber set all the devices to 150 nits brightness, connected to Wi-Fi, tested with benchmarks, YouTube streaming, 4K video recording, and social media browsing one by one to test and compare battery performance in each scenario. After performing all of these tests, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 lasted 8 hours and 46 minutes.
Whereas with bigger batteries OnePlus Open lasted 7 hours & 9 minutes, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold; 7 hours & 33 minutes, and Honor Magic V3: 7 hours & 43 minutes. However, apart from these foldables, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro lasted 9 hours, and the Oppo Find N5 won the competition with 10 hours & 2 minutes of usage.
The results of the test suggest that battery configuration doesn’t matter, since the devices with bigger batteries don’t run longer.
