Samsung, with the newly launched Galaxy S25 series, introduced dozens of convenient features, including battery health data, but it is limited to a few countries.
Initially, the Korean tech giant introduced the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 devices out of the box, which brings a convenient battery health data feature.
It can display detailed battery information, for instance, battery health percentage, manufacturing data, cycle count, and the date when the battery was first used. At first, the company made the battery health feature only available in Europe when the smartphone launched.
Now Samsung has expanded the availability of the battery health feature along with the February 2025 update. Reportedly, users after upgrading their Galaxy S25 devices to the latest security patch started seeing the detailed battery information.
However, the feature still has not reached Indian markets yet, since the users after receiving the February 2025 update didn’t get the feature. Since there’s no official statement on if the company will expand the battery health feature worldwide, so it remains to see whether the Indian users will get the feature.
Noticeably, the feature is based on Android 14’s battery-related APIs, which pass on detailed information regarding the battery.
