Samsung is supposed to debut the next-generation Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, which is anticipated to feature minor camera improvements, and the new battery technology might be limited to the ultra variant only.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series, and now, with the expansion of the lineup, it is supposed to launch the Galaxy S26 series early next year. However, we are more than half a year away from 2026, but leaks and rumors regarding the coming series have already started blowing in the market.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that the Galaxy S26 series might not come with a major battery upgrade. Now, a reliable tipster, Anthony, shared a text post claiming that Samsung could offer significant changes in the battery technology only to Galaxy S26 Ultra. Whereas the base and plus variants may either get a small battery capacity.
The tipster also revealed that the company could offer minor changes to the Galaxy S26 camera. Previously, it was leaked that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could debut a 200MP 4X Telephoto in a new triple-camera setup. However, the recent report surpasses the previous leak and suggests that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a traditional quad-camera setup.
Samsung has yet to reveal official battery and camera specifications of the coming series, it remains to be seen whether this report will come into existence.
