Samsung recently launched the latest tablet series, Galaxy Tab S10 FE, based on Android 15 (One UI 7) but it hasn’t revealed its official software policy.
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE series includes two variants: Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+. Usually, Samsung announces the software policy of the latest Galaxy devices along with the official release, but that is not the case with these newly launched tablets.
How many years of software updates does the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series get?
The Korean tech giant has not announced the official software policy for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE along with its launch. However, the company adopted a new long-lasting six-year software support scheme even for its mid-range devices, This hints that the tablets will get at least six or seven major OS updates.
Meanwhile, a report from SamMobile reveals that the latest tablets will get seven years of software support, however, there is a caveat. According to the report, someone interested in the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series asked Samsung’s customer care for clarity on the matter, and they received a rather muddling answer.
“The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ will receive updates for seven years, but there is a caveat: those seven years may or may not include both OS and security updates.”
The answer is confusing, but following its current software policy, the company may offer at least six major OS updates. However, there’s no exact official word regarding this, so it remains to be seen how many software updates the newly launched Galaxy Tab S10 FE tablets will receive.
