Samsung is continuing with the distribution of the latest May 2025 security patch to all of its eligible Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the company released the patch for the Galaxy S23 FE a few hours ago, and now, the Galaxy S23 family is getting the update in South Korea.
The May update rollout has finally started for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra, which are identified with the build numbers S911NKSS6DYE1, S916NKSS6DYE1 and S918NKSS6DYE1, respectively, and is currently live in Samsung’s home country. It is worth noting that Galaxy S23 FE has already got the May 2025 patch.
More specifically, the security patch; however, doesn’t bring any major features and changes; rather it focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality. It integrates a lot of key bug fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in the previous version in order to provide a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against certain potential threats and risks.
Beyond this, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behaviour and brings certain performance optimisations that eventually lead to a smoother, stable and optimised functionality to the users.
Well, Samsung has already delivered the latest Android 15-based One UI 7 stable update for the Galaxy S23 series, while older generation devices will follow gradually.
