Samsung is to launch its next-generation Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, which is anticipated to include four variants, as the report says.
The Korean tech firm usually introduces three variants, including Base, Plus, and Ultra, under its Galaxy S series. For instance, earlier this year, it debuted the Galaxy S25 series, which includes Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra at the Unpacked event. Although later the company introduced one more model separately under the same series, called Galaxy S25 Edge.
Now it seems that the next-generation Galaxy S26 series could include four variants: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, Galaxy S26 Ultra, and Galaxy S26 Edge. A few days back, it was also reported that Samsung is planning to replace the Plus model with the Edge in the Galaxy S26 series as a result of lower sales of the Galaxy S25 Plus.
Meanwhile, now a user on X shared a long text post, claiming that the Galaxy S26 series may bring either three or four models next year. Apart from this, it’s also reported that the Galaxy S26 Ultra might feature a next-generation 200MP camera and enhance Galaxy AI capabilities. Recently, it’s also been revealed that Samsung plans to minimise camera upgrades till the Galaxy S28 lineup.
However, Samsung has yet to release any official statement regarding this report, so it remains to be seen what will happen next.
