While One UI 8 Watch’s internal test build has already appeared for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic; Samsung is rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in the US.
The Galaxy Watch 6 series have started receiving a new update that integrates the May 2025 security patch and the update is currently available in the US, while wider availability is expected soon.
More specifically, the latest firmware for both the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic has been identified with (last letters) the build number, BYE9.
Meanwhile, as mentioned the latest update significantly brings the new May 2025 security patch level that not only improves the wearable’s overall security and core functionality, but also protects the device against external threats and attacks. This eventually leads to a more secure user experience, while also adding certain optimizations to the overall performance for a more efficient behavior.
As of now, Samsung is dispatching the latest software update for the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic owners in the US, which will be followed by more countries soon.
Well, Samsung Galaxy watches has already entered into a new revolution with the introduction of One UI 8 Watch, which is already arriving with the next generation wearables, the Galaxy Watch 8 series, out of the box.
Since the company has already confirmed that Watch 5 series and higher watches are eligible to test out the latest Watch OS, at the same time, the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup will be testing the newer version in the coming future.
