Samsung’s Galaxy AI suite could stay free forever

Samsung introduced its dedicated AI suite, named Galaxy AI, which includes several advanced tools, with the Galaxy S24 series based on One UI 7. Although the company had already mentioned that the Galaxy AI features would no longer be available for free, it could change its statement.

At the time of launch, Samsung has cleared a fact that the Galaxy AI features will only be available for free till 2025. Once the timeline expires, users have to pay for AI-based tools, but it might not be the case anymore, as a new report suggests.

Recently, a tipster, PandaFlash Pro, on X, shared a text post claiming that Samsung may offer all of its in-house AI tools, which are placed under the Galaxy AI suite, for free permanently. However, the free package will not include certain Gemini features that Google offers as part of its paid Gemini Advanced service. Accept a few Gemini-powered features, which are under Google’s control, Samsung is rumored to offer core Galaxy AI tools, such as Live Translator, Generative Edits, and Writing Tools for free.

Currently, Samsung is all set to debut its next-generation foldable phones, including Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip FE, at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9 in New York. A few days back, the company released a teaser for the upcoming foldable phone, which revealed that the devices will bring a smarter camera and more advanced AI features; however doesn’t mention the exact name of the tools.

Since Samsung has yet to release any official statement regarding the free Galaxy AI features, it will be interesting to see whether the report will come true.
